The Dream Closet

My Fashion Marketing teacher suggested an amazing six-part series article on Style.com, called "The Future of Fashion" that I really want to share with everyone.
All of us who work and live in the fashion world has been asking ourselves some questions about the future of fashion for the last few years.
The changes has been storming at us from every angle with an incredible speed. Bloggers, live streaming, internet, sustainable fashion, fast fashion, they have all become key players on a fashion field that used to be dominated by designers, buyers and editors. One of the major questions asked is where the fashion future will be?
With everything moving online, will there still be a world of fashion magazines and runway shows, or will they become memories and collectors items that we look  back at with nostalgia.
I'm personally a little torn in this whole discussion. I don't believe there is anywhere around it, I do think more and more if the fashion reporting and retailing will be web based.
One question raised in these articles were; can really fashion editorials and fashions shows go online without loosing the feelings and the emotions they give us? You know that feeling you get after watching an amazing runway show, or when picking up a brand new issue of your favorite magazine, excitement building while you flip forward to the fashion editorial. Can you achieve that online?
I think it's only a matter of time before someone comes up with a great way of actually doing this digitally in a way that will be satisfying to us.. We can't stop evolution right?

But again, I don't think anything can replace the feeling of sitting down at your favorite cafè, wearing some cute little outfit, flipping through the newest Vogue nonchalantly ,with perfect nails, preferably in the green khaki shade from Chanel..

I recommend that all of you read these articles, this is really interesting reading.. And I would love to hear you guy's opinion on the subject.
